Córdoba
Another September holiday. This is my favourite time of the year to head to sunnier climes. Hot, but not too hot and the schools are back meaning a quieter less busy time.
Having visited Seville the previous year and not making it across to Córdoba it seemed a good reason to spend 4 nights here before heading down to the coast at Malaga.
Córdoba is a beautiful small city and all the attractions are close by and easy to get around. Must visits are the Mezquita, which contains a mosque within the outer cathedral walls giving a unique insight to different cultures. The Jardines del Alcázar are stunning and who could resist following in the footsteps of Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones as you cross the Puente Romano de Córdoba.
